We are Alberto and Nuria, online Spanish teachers specialising in intermediate and advanced level students,

and we have realised how important it is for students to practice Spanish on a regular basis in order to maintain their fluency.

And most importantly, so that the language does not simply fade away and all the time, money and energy you have invested in it is not wasted.

This was the beginning of our online Spanish conversation club

When we started out with our projects on Instagram never did we imagine that, besides teaching Spanish, we would end up meeting each other to create a joint project.

From the very beginning we felt that we could understand each other perfectly and that we shared the same teaching principles and values. Sometimes it even felt like one of us was in the other’s mind!

One day, during one of our many conversations about learning and teaching languages, we were talking about students’ experiences and their relationship with Spanish.

More specifically, we were discussing the case of a former student who wanted to take up Spanish lessons again.

OK, hold on Alberto! Why would he want to continue learning Spanish if he already knows Spanish?

He wants to continue learning because he feels that his Spanish is getting rusty, he has forgotten a lot of vocabulary and he is not as fluent as he used to be…

Oh, I totally get it! Actually, the same thing happens to my students as well. They tell me that they are afraid of losing everything they have learned only because they don’t practise it.

Following this conversation and some reflection on our own experience learning other languages, it became clear to us that many students who stopped speaking Spanish for a period of time felt frustration and helplessness over forgetting the language.

Putting so much time and effort into speaking Spanish only to lose it afterwards is very annoying (and not fair) … so we thought.

We then realised how important it is to be constant and to keep on practising so as to not let the language die away

And that’s why our wonderful “KSA” club was created!

With the clear purpose of keeping and refining your Spanish so that it survives over time.

And so, do you also want to keep your Spanish alive?
